as we are out early to go fishing,
I dropped Diana off at the TukCom Centre as she wanted to go shopping near there, but on the way stopped off to have some air put in the tyres,
the owner of the shop stopped working on the bike he was on, a shot of air in both tyres and we were on our way,
I then made my way to Soi Diana, to the watch repair stall,
the owner had gone over the road, but he was soon back, one of my watches for some reason stopped after about 12 hours, so it needed a good talking to, I will call back on Friday or Saturday,
arriving home I noticed the lemon was getting near to being picked,
we always keep one in the freezer, Diana then grates it over my morning and evening meals, skin and all, it gives just a hint of zing,
later a call into the market,
for some fruit to nibble on in the evening, durians are now in season,
but it appears pineapples are not, as the stall that normally sells them is now packed with watermelons,
green mangoes are also here at this time of the year,
next stop the fishing tackle shop to buy some bait,
after our evening meal we settled down for a couple of films after a few quiz shows on TMN, first The Day of the Triffids, this was the two episode 2009 TV series, we had watched it before, this is what I wrote then, ' I am sure by now every knows the story of how the Triffids took over the world, the special effects did leave something to be desired but still a good application of John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Benyon Harris's book The Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham was one of a number of British authors discussed in a 1960 report into Science Fiction in BBC Drama, the document, which described Wyndham as 'the best practitioner' of British science fiction, led to the creation of the TV serial 'Doctor Who', the producer of this programme, Donald Baverstock, was the son-in-law of writer Enid Blyton and the man who, in 1963, eventually gave the green light for 'Doctor Who' to move into production, so all you 'Doctor Who' fans out there a big hand to John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Benyon Harris,'
we followed that with Lost in Space, as I mentioned before, I remember the series in the mid 1960's but in this film I do not know who it was intended for, cuddly alien for the kids which looked terrible for the adults, but scary creatures and a plot sure to unset the kids but great for Mums and Dads, well with the end of that we were off to bed.
