As We Were Getting Ready To Go Out,

the skies darkened,

 as clouds rolled in,

all around us there was thunder and lightning,

we were lucky, we made it to the road and boarded a 10 baht bus to town, we were also lucky that the rain held off until we arrived, so we arrived dry at Central Festival,

and this was where we were going, to the cinema, new for this visit, the ticketing booth, you just pop in your cinema card or credit card and buy your ticket, but there was a slight flaw in the system, if you did not have a card, the machine did not accept cash, so two ladies manned the machine that you gave your cash to, and they then bought the ticket for you, the same two ladies that manned the ticket booth before the machine was put in place as it happens, and as we do not carry cards, one of the nice ladies sold us our ticket as usual,

no worries about cards at the popcorn booth!

and this is what we were going to see, Johnny English Strikes Again, having seen the previous two Johnny English movies we knew what to expect, and we were not let down, watchable all of the way through with so many hilarious sketches every now and then thrown in,

film over it was to the lift, at the front of the building,

 downstairs to street level,

and a quick walk to Alibaba,

 for our evening meal,

we had the place to ourselves for the first part of the meal, but as we left a couple of hours later it was packed,

 first a few complementary poppadoms,

followed as a starter chicken chat,

then my favorite, a prawn puri,

'Cheers!', as our main course arrived,

and this was it,

 nan bread,

 chicken tikka masala,

chicken dopiaza,

and peas pulao rice,

followed by a tea,

I just wish I knew where they bought these art deco cups and saucers from, we ask every time we come here and are told the staff did not know, we have even taken a picture of the base of them to look up the company that makes them, but with no success, so there it is, the meal came to a tad over 2,000 baht, I am guessing a lot of which was my wine, so on to the 10 baht bus to the junction of Pattaya Tai and Second Road, where we caught the second 10 baht bus over the hill, but what a surprise at the 10 baht bus stop, the whole area was swarming with police, stopping it appeared every motorcycle that used the junction, I have never seen so many police in one place! still no worries for us, arriving home feet up for a nightcap or three, a couple of Bargain Hunts and we were off to bed.
