If You Are Lucky Enough To Stay In Or Visit Japan,

if you get a chance to stay at the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo,

where you will have the opportunity to spend time with Takahashi’s creations,

Japanese artist Nobumasa Takahashi has created a series of dense, pen drawings of Ginza that merge fantasy and reality, each piece draws on Ginza’s unique culture and history such as its back streets, its high-end shopping and its legacy as a hub for newspaper printing, The project was commissioned by the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo, a new hotel that opened in Ginza earlier this year in January of 2018, the artwork installed in the hotel guest rooms, photographs courtesy Yohei Akao / Strickland who was responsible for the interior design of the hotel,

and this is what you will see,

ultra dense pen drawings,

Takahashi also created a true-to-life Study of Ginza, based on endless walks around the neighborhood, as well as precise observations using Google Earth,

Takahashi’s “Japanese Graffiti” series appears in all 164 guest rooms, as well as inside the 2 elevators, Takahashi hopes that the illustrations will inspire visitors to explore and fully consume everything that Ginza has to offer, what a neat and unusual way to give guests a 'look around' of where they are staying.
