Graham Asked Me To Work In The Shop Today,

so out,

into a nice bright warm day, a walk to the number 54 bus stop,

and I was soon alighting at the bus stop by the antiques shop This 'N' That,

with our favorite Indian restaurant next door, Kathmandu Masala,

over the road 'young' Graham was opening the shop, I spent the day chatting about and selling fish, plants foods and equipment and even meet a couple of customers that were still using the shop after 40 or more years!,

arriving home a wash and brush up before a read and a sherry,

for our starter tonight Diana had prepared some gravlax salmon with a drizzle of the slightly peppery sauce that accompanied it with sliced avocado,

'cheers!',

for her main course Diana had a peppered chicken, rice and coleslaw dish,

for myself a 30 day aged steak, with a huge pile of sautéed potatoes, heavy on the bacon,

eyes down and tuck in, after which we snacked on cherries as we watched television, starting with the film,

Wicked Little Letters, described as a comedy, there were a few comic moments in the film, but ultimately the subject was far from comic, as it happens strangely enough the film was based on a true story, from the article:

Rose soon formed a friendship with her neighbour, Edith Swan, with the pair bonding over their household work. Edith wrote out a recipe for chutney and lent Rose knitting patterns for socks, while Rose lent Edith a tin bath, but their friendship soon turned sour after they fell out over their communal garden, and Edith quietly plotted her revenge, Edith started sending foul-mouthed postcards in Rose’s name, which were filled with obscene language and outrageous accusations, at first, insults ranged from cow and bl**dy, but got increasingly obscene, according to the Daily Mail, which covered the case at the time’

the article is here, after which Diana was off to bed, for myself one from It A'nit Half hot Mum, followed by a Kenny Everett Cassette Video, which featured Hot Chocolate, as it happens not as funny as some after which I too was off to bed.
