into a grey day,
the good news was that it was not as cold as yesterday, past the snail mail box in the park,
into Beckenham and up the hill past the 'A' sign and into the church,
and a rather nice treat that one of my photographs was chosen for one of the posters, I was there from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, and unlike yesterday had a steady flow of visitors calling in,
the first 2 hours I was with one of the club members Steve, the last 2 hours I spent with Roger above who at 2 in the afternoon was joined by his wife Angela who was with Bill on the next 2 hour shift,
then a walk back to the park, still grey, but at least it was not bitterly cold like yesterday, arriving home I had a few things to do, order my bi-monthly prescription, also make an appointment for my annual foot inspection that all diabetics should have performed as a matter of course, a chat with the shops bookkeeper and also the shops accountant, end of financial year accounts to be approved, next pay for a upcoming trip to Minsmere with the RSPB Bromley Local Group in April,
it was then time for evening sherry and read,
as Diana was still at work, for tonight a shredded pork pie with broccoli and new potatoes, 'Cheers!', next feet up for a film, for tonight,
The Swedish Connection, produced in Sweden it was released with English dubbed in, but neither the less an enjoyable film, from the blurb:
"Swedish Foreign Ministry bureaucrat Gösta Engzell,
overlooked during WWII, rescued thousands while turning supposedly neutral
Sweden into a moral force. His efforts challenged the status quo and left a
lasting humanitarian legacy",
and amazingly the film was based on factual events, after it finished, Diana arrived home, so feet up for a coffee and a chat, as I recounted my day and the attendance at the exhibition, after which we watched an Endeavour before we were off to bed.
