Mick Called Round And We Talked About His Boat,
so I thought I would have a look around for one for myself,and I found this one to my liking, the Eclipse, a 550ft monster, just one problem, Roman Abramovich beat me to the cheque book and bought it himself! the precise length of the vessel has been kept secret, though it is thought to be about 16ft longer than the previous record super yacht holder, the 532ft yacht Dubai, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, it has been built by Blohm & Voss — the shipyard in Hamburg that constructed the German battleship Bismarck, it reputedly twice its original price of £317m and took over 4 years to build, can he afford it? the Russian oligarch, is estimated to be worth £8.5 billion, crikey! I have just realised I could not afford to fill it with fuel! for a few more pictures have a look here.
