well photographer Florian Schulz did not know what to think when he and his pilot spotted a dark moving shape in the ocean in Baja California Sur, Mexico, but as they flew nearer the biomass they saw it was a mass of literally thousands of Munkiana Devil Rays, (Mobula munkiana), all apparently traveling in the same direction, both he and his pilot who has flown the area for over 20 years had never seen anything like before, this picture named Flight of the Rays, is in a portfolio of the best of this years Environmental Photographer of the Year Awards 2010, if you have a look there are some stunning pictures competing.
