In The Previous Post I Mentioned I Collect Stamps,

mostly from the reign of Queen Victoria and Edward VII, now I am missing a few to make my collection complete, above is one of them, the 1910 2d Tyrian Plum (SG266a), it was developed in one colour to save printing cost, 24 million of them were delivered to post offices around the UK, then King Edward died, the decision was made to destroy all of the stamps, but about 12 survived, making it one the great rarities of UK stamp collecting, there still might be a few out there, one or two of the rest of the sheet those 12 came from could still survive on a letter in an attic that your grandparents may have received, have a look, you never know!
