We Decided On Roast Duck,

for today's Sunday lunch,

Diana had prepared the duck and in the oven it went,

some hours later there it was ready to be served,

 crispy skin and all,

I had cut some hibiscus from the front yard as table decoration, as you might imagine the duck was excellent, Diana had also bought some Hoisin sauce to complement the duck, 'Cheers!',

we sat opposite the larger of the two aquariums,

so the fish were treated to a couple of extra feeds,

well it seemed only fair as we were eating in front of them,

for dessert Diana had made a apple and raisins crumble, with custard,

I thought I was full after cleaning the plate of duck and vegetables, but the crumble was so delicious I just could not stop eating it, we passed the afternoon away listening to music,

songs like this one, Rock Island Line, this version sung in the 1930s by Kelly Pace, hopefully you just click on to the arrow in the middle of each picture to listen to the clip,

it was then re-released in a film, The General,s Daughter, which by the way is a great movie, well it was for us, Diana then mentioned the Sea lion Woman,

well I need no further prompting so it was out with the 3 or 4 CDs we have from the Library of Congress to listen to Christine and Katherine Shipp, singing the Sea lion Woman,

which was also re-released in The Generals Daughter, I know I have strange tastes in music, so we then settled down for some sanity with,

Boozoo Chavis singing Zydeco Hee Haw from the LP Zydeco Homebrew, the afternoon just flew past,

in the evening we watched a few from Poirot and had a late evening snack of duck, sauce, spring onion and cucumber, then for us we were of to bed.
