this 2-minute excerpt of a
record-breaking lap from professional motorcycle road racer Bruce Anstey’s
helmet camera last week is absolutely incredible, it is easy to see why 241
riders have lost their lives on this course since the famed Isle of Man TT motorcycle race through the island’s
city and mountains began 107 years ago, Anstey averaged a breath-taking
132 miles per hour (213 km/h) for 17 minutes in one lap around the island,
one
lap is 37.75 miles (60.7 km) and taking in over 200 bends while climbing
from sea level to an altitude of over 1,300 ft (396 m), remember these are
ordinary streets that are closed for race and practise days, they do
not have the grippy surface that race tracks have, also safety barriers are
hedgerows, straw bales and brick walls, sit back and enjoy
the speed, but it is also absolutely frightening!
