For Our Evening Meal,

we went to Third Road to one of the many roadside food courts,

saying roadside some of the vendors park up in the road,

 but most are on a concrete surface, this particular one sells the chicken feet soup that Diana and myself like so much,

 if there is a Thai street food as we call it that you like,

 it is pretty certain that you will find it on sale here,

there are about 20 or so stalls, all selling something different, with some having tables and chairs in front of them, but there is also a communal seating area in the center of the market,

 Kai chose chicken on a bed of what looked like white spaghetti, 

 along with a couple of other dishes,

Steve had a fish stuffed with lemon grass and other spices,

whilst we went with the chicken feet soup, which as usual was delicious, after finishing our meal we made a move for home and after watching some television we all agreed that spending a day on the beach was so tiring, we were all off to bed.

First Thing In The Morning And We Were Off To The Beach,

but first a photo shoot,

as I took a photograph of Steve taking a photograph of Kai, 

then a quick picture by the flying and and we were away,

on the way to Jomtien we stopped off at the bank and also the Post Office but just after nine we had already found a place on the beach,

it appears that we did not have to book,

as it was almost deserted,

Steve decided to have to have a paddle,

but decided against a swim,

then it was Diana's turn in the sea,

but again just for a paddle,

by now a few more people had arrived on the beach,

but it was still pretty much deserted,

the girls ordered a coconut each,

fresh from the tree,

a coffee for Steve and myself,

then our breakfast arrived, chicken fried rice, some vegetable spring rolls, papaya poc-poc and plain rice,

by now the sun had come out and Steve decided to take some rays,

but there are still few visitors, looking towards Satahip there were not even any chairs and umbrellas laid out,

looking towards Pattaya plenty of chairs and umbrellas, but still few customers,

after our meal it was feet up and time to read a book,

or maybe catch a few ZZZ's,

whilst on the beach we had an unexpected guest, 

although difficult to see as it landed on a bag which has reflective silver foil on it this grasshopper decided to pay us a visit,

next it decided to land on my foot or should say on my ankle, we whiled away the afternoon until we made a move home as this evening we were out, I have split this post into two parts as there were quite a few pictures and it slows up uploading them, so for our evening meal out just scroll down.

It Was Then Time For A Shower And A Shave,

well just a shower for the girls,

before Mr. Tony called round to pick us up as we were all out for our evening meal, as a surprise Steve had bought not one but two flying ants, one for us and one for Mr. Tony,

so we all had to have a pose by it,

and colorful it looks too,

locally made where Kai's family live it is hand crafted from coconuts,

special seating for the ladies in the back of Mr. Tony's car,

then it was to Cherry's for our evening meal, as it was Wednesday evening we all enjoyed the international buffet,

so it was starters all round,

and naturally a few medicinal red wines, we then all enjoyed some of the many delicious main courses,

by now we were nearly full to bursting, then it was time for the desserts,

this selection for Kai,

and Diana's choice,

at 399 baht per head the meals here are such great value especially if you go for the international buffet a which is on both a Wednesday and Saturday evening,

it was then back into the car where we made our way back home to watch some television, after saying our goodbyes to Mr Tony, Steve and myself had a nightcap or two, tomorrow we have an early start, so for us all we were then off to bed.

Today's Post Is Going To Be A Little Late,

very late as a matter of fact,

as we are up early and off to the coral island, so please call back and have a look tomorrow, see you then!

We Started The Day With Breakfast,

when I say we,

 I should have said Steve and myself, the girls had gone to the driving test centre to renew Kai's Thai driving licence, whilst Steve and myself dined at Tara Court,

 our next port of call was to see that extremely nice chap David Gray at East Coast Real Estate, we have all known each other for so many years, we chatted the morning away, but before we left we travelled to the top of the building his office is in, some 32 floors up,

 to admire the view,

 you may remember form previous posts I have a fear of heights,

 well this confirmed it in no uncertain terms,

 but it offered great views over Pattaya,

 did I mention the lift was glass fronted? scary dairy in the extreme,

 after picking the girls up we decided to stop off at the Lukdod shop, 

 it is a tourists emporium,

 even if you do not want to buy anything it is well worth a look as it has just about everything you can imagine for sale, also this is where both Steve and myself buy our reading classes,

 arriving home it was then time for our evening meal, Steve and Kai bought the coconut flying ant for us whilst they were in Kai's home town,

 we had a walk along Walking Street, there were so many changes in the names of the go-gos and bars,

 but this one has been here since 1986 and was where we were heading, not a bar but the Lobster Pot restaurant,

 Steve and Kai strike the pose,

 we walked past the lighted branches in the entrance to the restaurant,

 it was picture time as we sat at the table,

 and for the first time I have seen it on sale Pattaya beer was available, I tried it some months ago, although not a beer drinker it was pleasant enough, but as I mentioned when we put a picture of the bottle on the blog before it seems that the dolphin looks rather unhappy/angry,

 the first of the starters arrived,

 along with Diana's coconut cocktail,

 followed by more starters,

 and some tom yung goong soup, 

 Steve and Kai decided on a variety of main courses, whilst we we went with the seafood platter for two.

 then it was time to tuck in,

 again a wonderful meal looking over the bay, next time for a picture or two,

 as we decided where to go next,

 I just love all of the neon signs,

 the good news is there are so many to take pictures of,

 with a wide variety of subjects,

 and places around the world to visit, hopefully as a visitor not as a guest!

 and on, we went into a couple of go-gos, well all of that walking was tiring work, so a few vodka sodas later it was time for home,

we made our way past the Diamond Beach Hotel where Steve and myself stayed so many years ago, then feet up, a night cap and we were all off to bed.
