I mentioned that many, many years ago I kept ferrets,

but what I did not know then, but do now, is that there is a ferret training school, James Mckay runs the National Ferret School in Chesterfield, England, where they train ferrets to lay cable,

if you have ever kept a ferret you know they love to run through plastic pipes or as I used cardboard tubes, so it was only natural that with some training they could pull a light but strong piece of string through a tube, which could then be used to pull through a cable, and there you have it,

the cutest cable laying guys in town!
