 well here are a few that have been shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) for the title of World Building of the Year, it is an annual celebration of global architecture, amongst the contenders is the Zeitz MOCAA art galleries carved out of Cape Town grainsilo, by Thomas Heatherwick,

 KingAbdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre, by Zaha Hadid Architects,

the US Embassy in London, by Kieran Timberlake,

and lastly, but of course there are many more, a cast-concrete Galway Picture Palace by dePaor Architects, exciting times indeed in the world of architects.
