It Must Be Because It Is So Hot,

that so many hibiscus have flowered for us,

the shame is that the flower only lasts one day,

 this is a 'double' flower,

as opposed to the normal single petalled flowers,

 the intensity of the reds,

and yellows looks so much better in life than in the pictures,

we even had a nearly pure white one in flower, all on the same day,

the other piece of good news on the flower front is that the firework like Amaryllis is still in flower,

at about mid day Mr. Tony called around, so we were off for our Sunday lunch, along Soi Diana,

to the car park near Second Road,

there is a pedestrian walkway that leads through to Second Road that has restaurants and clothes shops leading from it,

today we were back to the 250 baht Beefeater Sunday buffet, (also available on Friday and Saturday),

a fine selection to tempt us,

a good selection of cool drinks,

a carafe of wine was reasonably priced at 650 baht,

 then up for the starters,

'Cheers!', from Mr. Tony and myself,

for our main course, sliced beef, pork ribs, chicken leg, a braised beef in a sauce with Spanish rice,

Diana chose pretty much the same, but there was still plenty to chose from,

for dessert Mr. Tony had apple pie crumble,

Diana went for a chocolate and vanilla and chocolate mousse with ice cream, for me a cream covered meringue with ice cream topped off with chocolate, delicious!

a close up of Diana's dessert,

 a very happy Diana,

and a happy 'Cheers!', from me,

after the meal we left from the exit that is in Soi Diana and walked back to the car,

 the Beefeater card,

and map, we spent the rest of the afternoon at 388 looking at Mr. Tony's new computer, Diana also set up a Gmail address for him and a few other applications,

by now it was late in the evening so we settled down to watch a couple from James May's Toy Stories, after we watched two of those Mr. Tony left to head home, we had enjoyed the first two so much we then watched the rest of them! the challenges seemed so impossible, all featuring toys of my childhood, Airfix, Plasticine, Meccano, Scalextric, Hornby and Lego, just to give you an idea of the challenges in the Scalextric one a track had to be laid for a two toy car race following the original Brooklands circuit, some 3.25 miles long! everyone pitched in with the track going over ponds, private gardens and through modern offices to make the day complete, what a feat of logistics to arrange for all of the Scaletrix track to be delivered and every one helping to make the day a success, with the end of the DVD we were off to bed.
