After A Early Start,

when Diana returned home from work,

we were out, for a birthday treat Diana, unknown to me, had booked 2 seats to watch Have I Got News For You being recorded in the studio in Hammersmith, so on the train to Victoria, where a slumbering beauty was waiting,

the Golden Arrow had just returned for a hard days work,

what a beauty!

we keep saying, one day when we have enough money a trip on her will be a dream come true,

a quick lock at the conrods that transmit the power to the wheels,

it was another treat seeing her here,

and here is a short video Diana made of us,

but we had to then catch a tube to Hammersmith, arriving there we passed a well turned out florists, with the biggest hydrangeas we had ever seen, and so they should be at £8.50 a stem,

after a short walk we were here,

we arrived early as it is a first come first served queueing system, unless as we found out, you had one of the 150 'Privilege' tickets, these are given out to people who are friends of anyone connected to the production of Have I Got News For You, and then hoi polloi are let in, what we did not know was that this was the last one of this series, so many more privilege ticket holders were here than normal,

I took a place in the queue whilst Diana grabbed a snack,

in the background the Hammersmith Bridge

often used as a backdrop in a television series called New Tricks,

eventually we were inside,

we had all been given numbered wrist bands of different colors,

and here is our view of the stage,

waiting for the fun to begin,

the compare for tonight's last show of the season was Richard Ayoade with with guest panelists Jack Dee and Kelly Cates,

above us the electrics had to be seen to be believed, lights and speakers everywhere, the show was better than we expected, both of us as well as that audience enjoying the humor and all of the cast immensely, better still when the show stopped, it actually did not, a number of retakes were made, knowing what was coming the cast adlibbed to perfection,

all to soon the show was over,

the cast demiked, and the set rapidly removed,

Paul Merton gave a nice 'thank you' to the audience before leaving,

it was then time to leave, what a wonderful evening, many thanks indeed for Diana arranging it all in secret as a birthday present to me,

we were both hungry and although it was late Diana called in here at Victoria,

a Burger King, Diana ate hers on the train, arriving home she was straight off to bed after making me a coffee, in just under 4 hours time we will be up again as Diana has another early start, when I finished my meal and a Bangers & Cash I too was off to bed, what a wonderful evening we had.
