I had a few invoices to pop into the shop,
a nice bright Sunny day,
off of the number 54 bus by This 'N' That, next door to the Kathmandu Masala,
and the florists,
where the fun began! I decided to mount 6 of the photographs I had been playing with, backing boards and my template for cutting them,
board cut and double sided tape added,
photograph mounted on the backing board,
the board than attached with tape to the mount, I use this brown tape as unlike Sellotape it is a lot more forgiving if you make a mistake or want to reuse a mounting or backing board,
turn over and here is the finished picture, I keep these so that when we want to change the photographs on our wall I can just take the old mounting board and photograph out and replace it with a new one, also I can just pick them up and enter them when there is a photograph competition on at the club,
from the top left to right, Santorini, Welsh slate quarry, owl in Edinburgh High Street, Temple of the Dawn, Bangkok,
Cao Đài temple Vietnam, punting on the River Cam in Cambridge, when I had finished it neatly brought me up to the time for my evening meal,
so a read and a sherry,
followed by a plate of smoked salmon,
and a chicken curry with saffron rice, 'Cheers!', after which a couple of films, firstly,
Joan of Arc was the film of choice, we had watched it before a couple of years ago, here was what I said then, "I guess some of the court records survived from that period so there was a basis for the court part of the film, also a reenactment of the vicious hand to hand conflict and hatred between the English and French at that point in time, great cast and performances from all", enjoyable to watch again, then on a lighter note,
Mars Attacks!, an all star cast in one of the funniest Sci-Fi comedy's for years, it is a normal day for everyone, until the President of the United States announces Martians have been spotted circling Earth, the Martians land and a meeting is arranged, but not everything goes to plan, in fact most things that happen are decidedly unplanned! as an aside there is a nice minimalist aquarium in a couple of scenes, great fun, just as it ended Diana arrived home so feet up for a coffee and again the last half of a Midsomer Murder before we were off to bed.
