I had a quiet day,
I did not paly with any photographs, but I did play with the camera, by a process of trial by error I have found that the camera set in M for manual suits me best, I use the aperture set by the lens and then adjust the shutter speed and ISO until I find a spot where the shutter speed is not to slow to give me camera shake and the ISO is not to high so I can avoid a grainy photograph, also although it is Diana's day off tomorrow (Sunday) she has been asked to go in for 1 hour for a staff meeting, so rather than her cook and then go out we decided on a early Sunday lunch at a restaurant, alas, many of the places I called were fully booked, but I found a table at,
Papilio, it is on the site of the old police station in Beckenham, in the evening time for my read and sherry,
Diana had bought a king prawn cocktail for me,
and a chicken tikka masala for my main course, 'Cheers!', then feet up for some television, firstly,
Dante's Peak, the name of the town that won second prize in the most desirable place to live with a population of under 20,000 in America, for me a good though predictable story line with surprisingly good special effects, a sort of mini disaster movie as it only hit one town, I followed that with,
The Sea Shall Not Have Them, released in 1954, the film was set in the North Sea 11 years before as a downed RAF aircrew wait for rescue in a small rubber life raft, plenty of British Stiff Upper Lip in the movie, next a double helping of Mrs. Brown's Boys before Diana arrived home, the feet up for a Few Dollars More before we were off to bed.
