Which Films Will Take The Place Of The Last Centenary's,

classic films?

think Doctor Zhivago, The Third Man, Zulu, etc, well the good folks at the BBC have complied a list of how they think the list since the year 2000 shapes up so far, I have put the cover of The Grand Budapest Hotel as the main picture which came in at number 21, below is the top 10 out of the list of 100 films,

1. Mulholland Drive (David Lynch, 2001)
2. In the Mood for Love (Wong Kar-wai, 2000)
3. There Will Be Blood (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2007)
4. Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki, 2001)
5. Boyhood (Richard Linklater, 2014)
6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry, 2004)
7. The Tree of Life (Terrence Malick, 2011)
8. Yi Yi: A One and a Two (Edward Yang, 2000)
9. A Separation (Asghar Farhadi, 2011)
10. No Country for Old Men (Joel and Ethan Coen, 2007)

now here is a thing, out of the top ten above I have not watched a single one of them, out of the 100 listed I have seen exactly 10, so it will be some time before I can make a comparison with the BBC's top 100! for the full 100 have a look here.
