Up Early,

and we were away,

to the Mamak fishing park, to the left the sky looked cloudy,

 ahead not too much cloud,

to the right clear blue skies,

 the plumeria,

or frangipani as it is sometimes called putting on a good show,

we were here with Nick and Maureen,

after some time some thunder started and the rain clouds rolled in,

the thunder did not stop all afternoon,

 then the rain started,

and stopped quite quickly, but the thunder in the distance continued,

then the first fish of the day to Nick,

which went to the kitchen and in no time,

 breakfast was served,

before Diana had taken the fish from the bones one of the lakes cats had taken her seat,

 one,

then two arrived for their share of the catch,

a small lizard walked along the board-walk,

I had always thought that lizards like these only ate insects,

but the ones around the lake have developed a taste for the bread bait that we use,

next a fish for me, unfortunately to small to keep,

 the lizard popped up again,

for another piece of bait that did not make it into the lake,

the score stayed at 1-1 all afternoon, then we had our 'forlorn hope', the name we give to the last cast of the day, much to my amusement I caught the last fish on the last cast, the day ended 2-1 to me,

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, once in the Soi go over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is in on the right hand side, almost opposite the big pink building on the left, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!

we made a move to Nick and Maureen's home,

where one of the banana trees or I should say herbs,

was fruiting and very healthy they are to eat as well,

Nick had prepared a massaman curry,

 'Cheers!', from all of us,

cheese and biscuits for myself and a coroneto for Diana rounded off the meal,

then the serous part of the evening Monopoly, which Nick won with no trouble at all, we thanked Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well and made a move for home we then feet up for The Chase, we then watch another quiz show, Eggheads, which we had not watched before and great fun it was too, there were two shows back to back, after those we were off to bed.
