I Had A Quiet Day,

I continued changing a few old DVDs,

from VOB or TS files to AVI, it took an age, as Diana was at work for a late shift it was eyes down for a sherry and a read by myself,

I finished A Rumour of War by Marine Lieutenant Philip J. Caputo, I had read the book before, but such a long time ago and decided to read it again, it is his personal account of his time in Vietnam, an excellent read,

and I started on The Best Travel Writing, a book of 29 collected stories of writers travels, and the first few I read were very enjoyable,

for my evening meal I started with a few Indian snacks,

on to my main course chicken tikka masala, sans rice, when I picked it up I assumed there was a portion of rice inside, alas I was fooled, just chicken, but it was nice enough,

in the aquarium the kribs were acting rather strangely,

I have always known these fish as Pelmatochromis kribensis, in tropical fishkeeping they are known as kribs, but some years ago they have been reclassified, and are now known as Pelvicachromis pulcher,

anyway it was not until I looked closely that I noticed they had breed and were now looking after a shoal of fry, they are cichlids a group of fish that when they lay eggs after they have hatched for the first part of the fry's development look after their young,

I made a short video of them, a tad difficult to see, but there are 10 or so below the parents, hopefully they will survive,

for my first film of the evening Braveheart, it was a great, almost all action movie, great to watch, but to be fair it was one of the least historically accurate movies that have ever been made, but still enjoyable, trouble was I kept rooting for Longshanks,

just as Casino Royale, started Diana arrived home, so it was feet up for a coffee and a chat before the film ended, after which we were off to bed.
