and was greeted with a bright, blue warm day,
past the snail mail box,
arriving at the green,
and they could not have picked a better day for it,
whether you wanted to visit the stalls or just sunbath,
all manner of stalls were here,
as a kid my favorite, I always won a prize!
lots of prizes to win on this one,
and plenty of food to choose from,
but I was not visiting the stalls, I walked past the graveyard and into the Harris Primary Academy, I was here a few weeks ago, for the academy's summer fair,
and this is what I was here for today, the Beckenham Photographic Society was having a greet and meet for it's members at the new venue for the coming winter season meetings,
also to make sure the screen that was already here would talk to the laptop with all of the clubs photographic entries on,
thankfully I was not involved in the technical side of it, so it all worked seamlessly,
and to greet the members that arrived to look at the clubs premises,
cakes! lots of them both shop bought and even more delicious home made,
everybody was so pleased that the laptop and screen worked at it should do,
as this was happening we were treated to a charming duet, goodbyes said and I was back out to the fete,
this time going past the stage,
where group were performing,
into the park,
and past Foxgrove Lodge,
the trees now all in the summer glory,
past the snail mail box and home,
in the evening time for a read and a sherry,
for tonight a Nepalese curry, 'Cheers!', after which I watched a couple of Bangers & Cash, after which Diana arrived home, so a coffee and a chat as we watched,
The Relic, a treasure hunter sends back a crate to a museum then things go downhill as a creature hatches out, the problem was the film was so dark you could hardly watch it, well what did I expect with 50% or more of the film in a museum with no power, but it did have more than a few scary - dairy bits in it, we followed that with,
Pale Rider, we have watched it before some time ago, but it was still a treat to watch again if you like westerns as we do, and with that we were off to bed.
