04.00AM we were out as I dropped off Diana to work,
arriving home I started on the blog and some paperwork before I too was out, my yearly covid and flu jabs were scheduled for today, so out into the park and a walk past the Crab Hill entrance to the park where early morning joggers and dog walkers were already out and about,
a walk past the muddy puddles in Westgate Road,
the lodge almost hidden from view by plants and shrubs,
in the distance what I was looking for,
a post box, I had found some old ink cartridges that I wanted to send back to the supplier to be disposed of,
I walked towards the now one way bridge, a few years ago cars would meet at the top, and then a battle of wills as to who was going to give way and reverse down to let the oncoming car through,
up the next hill,
and down to The Chancery pub,
and this is where I was going, the chemist, I was a tad early but soon seen, injected and on my way,
back up the hill,
towards and over the bridge,
and into Westgate Road,
which is unadopted by the council, so it becomes a dust bowl in the summer and a puddle filled mud bath in the winter,
a walk past the lodge,
it really is a charming building, but with the road unadopted I think we will stay where we are,
round the corner at the bottom of Crab Hill,
and I am on the home stretch, after a coffee and my breakfast, a quick read of the papers and I was out firstly picking up Kai, and then Diana from work and we were out,
to Wing Yip, for coffee and cakes,
Diana was hungry and got to hers before I could focus the camera!
after which it was some shopping, and a trip to a new addition to Wing Yip,
a bubble tea bar, so many different teas to choose from,
well I had to get into the photographs again,
'Cheers!', from the girls,
none of us had ever seen tea prepared this way, so Kai made the video above of it,
next stop Costco, Diana wanted to buy some chocolates to take to her family in the Philippines when we are on holiday in a couple of weeks time, the car was stuffed with them, happily Diana has paid for a extra 20 kilos allowance on her luggage, and looking at what she bought she will need it! after dropping Kai off and arriving home, we continued with what I had started in the morning,
I wonder how many of today's youngster would know how to use this? After that it was the usual, our evening meal followed by a Outback Opal Hunters and a Deadliest Catch, before a real treat, a double helping of Poirot, which took us up to the time that Diana was off to bed, for myself a Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
