the problem being as the telescope was quite old it was not possible to buy a ready-made adaptor,
so a couple of cardboard tubes from the inside of toilet tissue rolls later,
cut and rolled so that the camera will fit into the top of the tube and hopefully it will work, if there is no cloud cover we will find out tonight,
tonight we were out to Ali Baba Indian restaurant which is situated on Central Road just 200 meters or so from Beach Road,
there is a small water feature to the right of the stairs as restaurant is on the first floor,
we first ordered some poppadoms with four or five different sauces, followed by our starters, a prawn puri each,
our prawn puris arriving,
and serving dishes being taken away,
our waiters for the evening,
next one of the restaurant's signature dishes,
this particular dish is called the 20 thieves and has as you might imagine 20 pieces of food served on a iron skillet, the choice of food offered is chicken, lamb, prawn, fish and cheese,
there is of course a second option, the 40 thieves, which we have never ordered as there is more than enough for all three of us on the 20 thieves skillet,
when we arrived the restaurant was quite empty, but halfway through our meal most of the tables had been taken,
as a rough guide to the cost the meal was just under 2,000 baht for all three of us and I should point out that included many glasses of red wine! arriving home just as I entered the gate I notice the Amaryllis
bud had now started to open, and very nice it looked too,
when we arrived home with Mr. Tony we watched a couple of episodes of Pickers, after saying our goodbyes to Mr. Tony we then settled down for an episode from Silent Witness, this episode Shadows, a student apparently attempts suicide but this is overshadowed when a gunmen walks through the faculty shooting students he meets, but there is worse to come as a bomb has also been hidden by a small group that threaten chaos and mayhem in the University campus, a thrilling episode then for us we were off to bed.
