as we are going to the clinic for the results of my blood test,
so straight on with the post, we were off to go fishing, the place we fish at is called the Mamak Fishing Park, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see this pink building on the left, the road the fishing park is in is almost opposite, follow that for a while and the fishing park is on the left,
we met Nick and Maureen and made our way to the fishing park, I had to say I thought we would have some rain as there were cloud in the distance along with some thunder,
but it was all smiles as I got the bait together,
Ta-Taa was happy enough tucking into her breakfast,
and Diana was happy with her sudko puzzle book whilst waiting for us to catch her breakfast,
so there was no pressure on Nick and myself for results,
more clouds came rolling in it was just a matter of time before the rain set in,
then the fight was on the first fish to me,
but unfortunately it was one of the fish which so full of bones that they are not nice to eat,
so back he went,
then success, Nick caught a tilapia,
Diana was all smiles as she made her way to the fishing park's kitchen,
then breakfast was served,
the fish fried in garlic along with rice with a fried egg,
well you cannot get much fresher than that!
Diana took meat from bones to give us a taste of her breakfast,
then I was into another one,
like the last time we were here in the centre the picture in the far distance,
a white egret had come to pay the fishing park a visit,
hopefully he will have more luck than we normally do,
then I was in again,
another keeper this one we will take home,
by now it was late afternoon so I made my way along to the office to pick up the bill for the beers tea, coffee, food and fish, but on the way noticed that the park had purchased a new pet, this brown and cream squirrel,
so if you fancy a nice days or even just an afternoon fishing this is their card,
and map, the good news was that the rain held off, so we all arrived home dry, the huts do offer rain protection, but in a prolonged downpour eventually the water gets in, but they are great sunscreens and the score today? I am afraid to say 5-2 to me,
when we arrive back at Nick and Maureen's, we knew we were in for a treat, Nick had very kindly offered to show Diana how he made a particular type of Chinese chicken curry,
so Nick prepared one half of meal then it was Diana's turn to prepare and cook the other half,
and here it is Nick's special Chinese curry served on a bed of rice,
and delicious it was too as we all tucked in,
just one of the many ingredients at Nick used, he also gave Diana a printed list that is found in a newspaper of the recipe so tomorrow after the results of my blood test would be off to Foodland to buy this and the rest of the ingredients that we do not have,
then to the serious part of the evening, Monopoly, which as you can see Diana won, we chatted the rest of the evening away at the end thanking Nick and Maureen from looking after us so well, we then arrive back home where we watched a couple of programs on the Crime and Investigation channel, as it was by now late for us we were off to bed.
