Today The Banks Open,

so off we go,
then round the block towards the sea in Pattayaland,
to the permanent market in Pattaya Tai for some fresh fruit,
no prizes for guessing which side of the road you can not park on today! plenty of durian fruit today,
and plenty of rambutans too,
Diana bought 3 or 4 mangoes for later this evening and for tomorrow,
and was a bit thirsty so a fresh coconut juice,
she was also tempted by the bugs,
but decided to wait until this evening,
then a huge shout went up,
truck loads of revellers came past the market,
with people standing in them singing and shouting,
some had musicians in the back,
the brass section,
with percussion,
then the last truck, I am guessing some one is going to be ordained to be a monk,
we watched a bit of television during the day then it was off to the food stalls for our evening meal,
this week almost all of the spaces were filled with stalls,
and the good news was that the chicken feet soup stall was there,
with lots of feet!
two take away soups 30 baht each,
then to the bug stall, Diana had said she wanted some this morning at the market,
'take your pick' as Michael Miles used to say on his game show,
a quick cook in hot oil, a few pieces of green, a touch of spice and a spray with a liquid which looks like water, all for only 20 baht,
Diana also spotted some of the big lychees, so we had to have some of them,
60 baht for that lot, in the fridge as soon as we arrive home, delicious,
also here lots of durians for sale,
all set and off we go,
then a thought, we might as well get a few vegetables for tomorrow evening, some broccoli at this stall,
and some potatoes here,
salted bar-b-qued fish, these are tilipias,
for some reason tonight the market was really packed, there was hardly room to park the bike,
then home for our evening meal of chicken soup, followed by some cold fresh lychees,
some some reason I felt a bit thirsty, so half sprite and half Leo for a diet busting long drink, back to the diet tomorrow!
then feet up to watch Appaloosa, the name of a town in the Wild West, two friends are hired to police a small town that is suffering under the rule of a rancher, they find their job complicated by the arrival of a young widow, of questionable morals, then to The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, a nearly two hours long episode, The Eligible Bachelor, Sherlock Holmes' problem with disturbing dreams proves to be both an impediment and an aid in the search for a missing woman, bit of a strange one this one, Holmes aways seems to deal in hard facts, but here he is almost being persuaded to believe in the supernatural, then off to bed.
