Another Busy Day Planned Today,

so once again straight on to the blog, on our way out we called into the 7 - 11 for a few things for Diana to snack on, whilst waiting outside I spotted a couple of bikes, this one a mini super sport bike, there are so many of these on the roads over here now, also this customized step through, twin exhausts and a super sized front disc brake among the most obvious add-ons,
then to Bali Hai pier for the 09.00 boat, 60 baht for both of us one way,
past the firework display area, I look for news of up coming displays, but only find reports of ones happening a few evening before, it is a shame one of the local television stations or news papers does not list dates and time of upcoming pyrotechnic displays,
as we left the pier so did another boat bound for the Islands,
one of the new coastal rescue boats waiting to be launched,
a typical coastal fishing boat,
as we neared the island the other boat had been steadily overhauling us,
then we were off the boat and heading for the beach,
Diana strikes the pose,
then along the seafront pathway to the sun loungers, lots of appetising seafood on offer,
freshwater shrimps,
and prawns on ice, but seafood over here is more expensive than on the mainland,
so we settle for chicken fried rice and some chicken on a stick,
later a beer for me and an ice cream for Diana,
the day just flew past, reading and occasionally taking a few ZZZZ's, it was just like being on holiday!
then along the jetty,
to our boat and on our way home,
but first a quick stop at the bar at the end of the pier, just chilling out and watching other day trippers make their way home,
feet up after a prawn and crab stick salad to watch Scary Movie, both one and two, great fun, trying to name which movie is being lampooned in these two films, I can understand why some people may not like the Scary Movie type comedy but for us a real blast,
to round off the evening New Tricks, Sir Tim is Surveyor of the Queen's Pictures, he discovers that some of the pictures in his charge are fakes, but who, why, how and when? more importantly where is the original as it was in the Queen's collection? then off to bed.
