How strange,

yesterday Diana and myself were looking at a Vulcan aircraft on television,

and I was telling her about the role they played, then today one is in the news, in an attempt to raise funds to keep it flying fundraising starts today with flypasts during a family day at its base at Doncaster in South Yorkshire, and at Highclere Castle in Berkshire, the Vulcan will also fly over Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, which will today be granted Letters Patent from the Princess Royal in recognition of its role in the repatriation of Service personnel killed in Afghanistan,

the Vulcan has a special relationship with the Royal Family, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Prince Michael of Kent have each taken the controls of the aircraft at some point, great aircraft, I hope that we can see it fly when we call back to the UK.
