I Was Up Early,

to post the blog,

but as I was on my way out,

I had to take a couple of pictures,

it seems that this moth had taken a liking to one of the pieces of wood our air plants were on,

and quiet nice it looked too,

the reason I was up early was that I had another appointment with Dr. Chanis for more treatment on my root canal, also a filing had decided to explore my internal regions so that needed replacing, the cost of the filling was 600 baht,

next we were out and about, yesterday when we were on the other side of the Sumkivitt Road we had noticed a stall selling huge mango's,

so today we thought we would pop back and buy some,

lots of different flavours or I should say varieties to chose from,

they were priced at 150 baht a kilo, we bought 3 weighing just over 2 kilos, they were huge!

and this was the main reason we were out and about,

a seafood lunch at Prechai seafood restaurant at Ban Ampure, about 5 or so miles down the coast from Pattaya,

we have eaten there many times before,

it seems strange to look at these fish as food as in the UK and pretty much most other places marine fish are kept these are considered as pets, normally called the Panther  Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis), they are easy to keep, also it appears good to eat!

Diana's favourite, lobsters,

as you walk into the restaurant the food (live) is in aquariums or pools on the floor, when we arrived there were not many customers there,

there is in fact a number of restaurants in Ban Ampure, like this one on stilts over the sea,

the view looking towards Satahipp, a new jetty has been built near to the restaurants,

so those of a nautical nature can pull in for a meal or a take away,

Diana has been looking forward to this since we decided to eat here,

and the food arrives!

a small seafood rice dish with rock lobsters split and fried in garlic, after we started eating these two courses,

we also ordered some prawn doughnuts with a sweet sauce,

all of that was finished and after a break we ordered some soup,

tom yum goong, which roughly means a hot prawn soup which is also spicy and sour,

just as the soup arrived a number of tour buses arrived, now the place was packed,

eventually there was not a seat to be had, so if you go there for lunch be prepared to wait for a seat,

but on to the meal,

carefully does it as we had our second bowl,

and Diana did not spill a drop! the cost for the meal came to just under 800 baht, but for that we were absolutely full,

we arrived back late in the afternoon, next we called in to the TukCom Centre for some BluRay cases, then home feet up to watch some satellite television, after our evening meal e tried one of the mango's, there was so much of it and so sweet, not to mention they tell me eating fresh fruit is good for you,

then for our late night film Jack the Ripper, I guess we all know the story of Jack the Ripper, but this one was slightly different in that at the end of the over 3 hour production this film claims to have had access to top secret Home Office files and believe that their ending is the correct solution to the age old mystery, but is it? I really do not know, but but now it was late so for us we were off to bed.
