3 works by Francis Bacon,
we have a plain wall in the spare room and these three pieces would have filled it nicely, titled Three Studies of Lucian Freud they were painted in 1969, 25 years after the two artists meet, but some how we missed the auction at Christie's in NYC, it appears there was a bit of a bidding war which is why the bidding went to $142m (£89m), it may seem a lot but wait a moment there were 3 paintings, what a bargain!
