Mariana Had Not Eaten Yesterday,

or this morning,

and alarmingly her cough had returned,

so off to the veterinary surgery,

the surgeon examined her and said he would like to see an X-ray of her and here it is, the results were examined and he showed me some clouding on her lungs which he pronounced was pneumonia, he called a colleague for a second opinion who agreed, so she had an antibiotic injection to hopefully cure the pneumonia and a card to bring back tomorrow, I was expecting a super huge bill but all in it came to 640 baht, (at today's rate £14.40 or $17.96) which I thought was very reasonable,

in the early evening we made a move for the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road, as I walked from the motorcycle park this Ducati went past me,

 looking towards Jomtien,

the sky had a strange yellow hue to it,

inland clouds building up in the distance,

some boots are made for walking, but these shoes are made for running, some really do make you stand out in a crowd,

opposite the bar this evening a double stall selling rice,

no more work on the steelworks this week,

 but these foundations seem finished,

just a few customers in the pet section,

and this is where I was going, the food stall,

for some wet and dry food for the kittens,

the petting stall was open, with rabbits the same as last week,

as well as mice and hamsters,

 and goats,

and these two really strange creatures, they looked like dogs but had small faces to the size of their bodies,

and incredibly thick and course hair, not to mention a good set of teeth,

there were a few birds including this parrot,

 'whose a pretty boy then?',

 'I am!',

 next stop the aquatic stall,

we were getting low on the sinking pellets,

 sunset over the market,

I sat at the bar as mobile sellers walked past,

looking inland the sky looked ominous,

and in no time had become heavy with clouds,

 then the skies opened,

 and the rainstorm started,

strangely enough without any thunder or lightning,

the few shoppers still here waiting out the storm,

and they had more than a long wait!

but one biker braved the storm,

then a gap in the rain, so we took our chance and made a dash for home, where a delicious beef stew awaited us,

after our meal a nice surprise as Riza called round,

she had not seen the kittens before,

and had a great time playing with them,

 Hogue form above,

and Cable with Riza, we said our farewells, and settled down to round the evening off with a few from 3rd Rock From The Sun,

during the day we were watching a show when there was a reference to rhubarb and custard sweets, I mentioned to Diana I used to love them as a kid, so now a surprise Diana had seen them in Tesco Lotus so bought a pack, childhood memories of walking to school with 4 ounces of rhubarb and custard sweets in my school jacket came flooding back, and with that we were off to bed.
