Wednesday,

so I made my way down,

to the nursing home where Duncan lives,

the staff are giving the place a Halloween feel, as characters are arriving around the grounds, going inside I was greeted by the wing's sister, she had some bad news about Duncan, she advised me to be prepared for the worse, he had not eaten or drank anything in the past 2 days, he may pull round, but it is not expected, sad news indeed, in his room the curtains were drawn and he was in a deep sleep, the nurse tried to wake him to no avail, I said what I think will be my last farewells to him and left,

it was a sad drive home, but there it is, life goes on, arriving home I did not feel like doing much, so I just watched whatever was on the television, in the evening time for a new meeting at the Beckenham Photography Society, but first,

a read of the current issue of Private Eye

followed by a Chinese chicken curry, 'Cheers!',

then out into a grey evening,

and a walk across the green to the club meeting at the Harris Primary Academy by the side of Beckenham Green in St George’s Road, tonight we had a Zoom meeting with a guest speaker, Tony Worobiec FRPS. tonight he was talking about the seasons and what might be of interest to photograph in them, the talk was titled The Landscape Photographer's Calendar, and very informative it was too, I walked away with a few ideas for the next few years to come,

back across the green, looking towards M & S.

and the way I was going, towards the traffic lights at Beckenham Junction, a walk through the park and home, where I had a date with a spiced rum, I settled down as a Have I Got A Bit More News For You started, shortly afterwards Diana arrived home so time for a coffee and a chat and to bring her up to date with the sad news about Duncan, after which she was off to bed, a Bangers & Cash for myself before I too was off to bed.
