one of the features that Bristol designers included in their cars was the placement of the spare wheel, there is a removable panel, seen above, behind the front wheel, which is where the spare is kept, they did not want to lose luggage space in the vehicle, great shame that they have gone, for a closer look at some of the cars the company have produced over the years have a look here, or for a price guide to second hand ones here, R.I.P.

Another Piece Of British Motoring History Bites The Dust,
with just one showroom in the world the Bristol Car Company has had to call in the receivers,
the exclusive luxury car maker announced yesterday that it had called in the administrators after 65 years with the loss of 22 jobs, they carry a price tag of between £150,000 and £250,000 each and can only be bought from one showroom - on London's High Street Kensington - in the whole of the UK, it was the last of the wholly-owned British luxury car manufacturers and was originally founded in 1946 as an off-shoot of the Bristol Aeroplane Company, amongst the roll-call of famous owners are Bono, Liam Gallagher, Tina Turner and Sir Richard Branson but by the end it's rumoured that the company was shifting just 20 vehicles a year,
