I Picked Up A Bit Of A Tan Today,

we seemed to be on the bike all day,
Diana has a slight allergic rash which the skin clinic has given her some tablets and cream for, so next time we needed some we went to the pharmacy in Pattaya North, but before they would give a stronger one they suggested a visit to the hospital to see a doctor, I did not plan on that as I only had a thousand baht on me for the cream and tablets so home for more money just in case,
then back to the hospital, we went to Pattaya Memorial in the Soi next to PIC Kitchen which I think is Soi 2, but it is sign posted on Second Road, we were very impressed with the service there, just on thing, remember to bring your passport with you as the hospital requires to see it to fill out a hospital records card, so after the registration formalities a few minutes wait for Diana's weight, blood pressure etc to be taken, another few minutes and she was called in to see the doctor, next we were called over to the prescription counter and given the bill for the visit and cream/ tablets, less than 900 baht very impressed all round,
only one slight snag, the hospital did not have one of the tablets the doctor prescribed, so it was back to the pharmacy on Pattaya North, another 60 baht or so and we were on our way,
to the market, some fresh salad for this evenings meal,
transaction complete,
on to the next stall for some desserts,
'I will have that one and that one and that one!'
next some mango's to snack on whilst we are watching the television this evening,
Diana decided she wanted to wash the floor and have a clean up in the house, so I decamped to Mark's house for a cup of tea and a chat, it must be the time of year as so many trees and flowers are in bloom, like this outside Mark's house,
although it did not seem to have many leaves it had lots of these bright yellow flowers,
speaking of yellow a few hours later when I returned home one of the plants we bought on Saturday had flowered with this huge yellow flower, it looked really nice,
for the evening meal for both of us, we have decided to go on a slight diet, we can no longer keep saying that we have a magic wardrobe that shrinks our clothes every time we put them in there! prawn salad for me and a tuna salad for Diana, not sure how long it will last but at least we are trying!
then on to the evenings entertainment, Cops - Shots Fired, all pretty tame considering what the special effects people can do on films now days, you see the entry point of a bullet, just a small hole in one case with some blood, nothing like the sights you see in say Rambo movies where people are being blown to pieces when they are shot, even the guy that was shot with a hollow point bullet had hardly anything to show externally for his troubles, (different story internally I would guess!), if you like realism it does not get much more real than this,
the lighter side of life with Wallace & Gromit, this DVD had three of their films in it, The Wrong Trousers, Gromit finds himself being pushed out of his room and home by a new lodger who is actually a ruthless criminal (and a small penguin), the penguin is planning a robbery and needs to use Wallace and his mechanical remote controlled trousers to pull off the raid, the next A Grand Day Out with Wallace and Gromit, the duo have run out of cheese and this provides an excellent excuse for the animated duo to take their holiday on the moon, where, as everyone knows, there is ample cheese, lastly for this DVD A Close Shave, Wallace falls in love with a wool store owner named Wendolene, meanwhile, Gromit is framed for killing sheep and is put in jail, but is Wendolene's dog Preston all that he appears to be?
to round the evening off The Core, the Earth's core has stop spinning, disasters are appearing all over the world, birds acting crazy, powerful thunderstorms, 32 people died to the second in a 10 block radius but everyone else is unharmed, great start to the film, and good special effects, then for us off to bed.

Sorry to correct you Stan but the hospital is Pattaya INTERNATIONAL. Also I agree with you it is probably the best in terms of service, economy and speed.
