we have eaten here before, it is in the style of what I call 'Thai rustic',
one of the nice things about letting things almost go back to nature is this above, a clump of seeds starting to develop, nothing strange in that,
but in the same stand of palms these seeds are much further developed,
these even more,
whilst these are ripe and ready to drop to the ground,
inside the rustic theme continues,
Juu and Dang along with Brian and Sa were here,
there was so much food, we really all ate to much,
all of it cooked for Thai people, which meant, if you look at my face, some of it was way to hot for me!
outside an easy way to spot the restaurant is this plane above it,
the entrance from the road,
as you walk in there is a cart wheel on the right hand side,
that has been there for some time,
one of the vines that uses the tree for support has grown through the spokes,
a fabulous meal, if you want Thai food as the locals enjoy it this is the place for you,
full of food and ready to go, out of interest the palm behind Diana is the one with the seeds in various stages of development,
on the way home we stopped at one of the local markets, we did not have much fresh fruit in the house,
first a couple of desserts that Diana likes,
some of those yellow plums that we both like,
now down to 70 baht a kilo,
we then found some larger ones so a kilo of those as well,
apples were next on the list,
just as we were going we spotted some melons on special offer, just 20 baht each,
a wide detour round the boiling oil,
and we were home, a quick shower, shave and change and I was out to meet the boys, as you can see it was raining hence my plastic mac,
which was thirsty work so we stopped into The Beach for a refresher, then another walk to meet up with Grieg in the Roxy, who made us all welcome, also next door there is Hooties that he also manages so we had a look there, I should have mentioned that we were introduced to one of Grieg's many friends Rodger in the Roxy, who joined us in Hooties for a drink there, next port of call was Champions, where once again we were all made to feel welcome, by now it was past the midnight hour so we all made our way home, a great evening out with the boys, to Ravi, Vinod and families have a safe trip home to the UK and to Sunda see you soon! after a day and evening of celebrating for me, we were off to bed!
and here they are, Ravi, Sunda and Vinod, luckily by now the rain had stopped, so we had a walk down the street,
