First Thing This Morning I Received A Phone Call,

from those nice people at Jack Levy's insurance company, to ask if the repair to my damaged truck had been completed satisfactorily, but of course I could not answer as I was still waiting to hear from the garage to inform me if the spare parts had been received from Nissan, so I popped over to the garage just in case, 'why you no come? have part 7 days' 'why you no phone me?' nervous laughter, moving on, come back at five and all will OK, great I thought, also I reminded them about the stickers they should have removed first time round, they had cracked and faded in the sun, so off I went home on the back of I suspect a failed Grand Prix motorcycle taxi driver, I knew he was going to be fast when he decided to try to out drag a Porsche! just as I arrived back Jay and Precil called in for a tea and a chat, next thing Diana and Precil decided to walk to the market to buy a few things for their afternoon snack,
just as Phil arrived, the mighty Mouse motor bike now back running as sweet as a nut, it appears it's coil decided to move on to a better place, at about that time the garage telephoned, in removing the stickers the paint underneath was in their words 'not beautiful' could I call in and have a look, so I said I would call in first thing in the morning, strange how they found my number today but could not when the spares arrived,
so after putting the world to rights our friends left and we got ready to go to the market, going past Diana's sunflowers the first sign of a flower is starting to appear,
another few days and it should be open,
into the market, this time I was on a mission, Nick had asked me if I could get him a copy of The Kings Speech, the film tells the story of the man who became King George VI, who had a speech impediment, first DVD stall and mission complete, 100 baht and I was on my way,
the latest fashion in back packs, seeing these it made me think back to my school days, before briefcases were used for lugging books to and from school it was de rigueur to use a WW2 gas mask bag, I suppose now days it would be a Billingham bag that most world explorers (Palin, Attenborough, et al), have with them,
tonight opposite the bar there was to be a concert,
before that Bill was already at the bar so it is 'Cheers!' from him,
I had a quick walk around the market then called back to have a chat with Bill, mainly about the relative merits of different protein skimmers that you use in marine aquariums, the Tunze being my personal favorite, but that was over 12 years ago when I was back in the UK, I must admit I have not kept up on the current range of products since then,
the band were slowly getting ready to start,
previously speaking of being de rigueur, I guess this dog is when it comes to traveling on the front of a motor bike in the shopping basket!
we were then joined by Juu and his wife and Brian and Sa,
Diana and Dang have just returned from The Outlet Mall,
the band or I should say road show was now belting out numbers, the reoccurring theme was to remind people to lock their goods safely and securely and wear crash helmets and seat belts when traveling,
meanwhile the girls had all gone on another shopping expedition, this time for food!
by now the band were getting into full swing,
then who should call by? none other than Craig, Porn and family, along with their friend Phil, so we had a chat and caught up on what we all had been doing of late,
the band were still belting out numbers as we left,
Diana wanted me to pose by her sunflowers,
then home for some New Zealand mussels followed by an Indian curry,
we watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 'Toon star Roger is worried that his wife Jessica is playing pattycake with someone else, so the studio hires detective Eddie Valiant to snoop on her, but the stakes are quickly raised when Marvin Acme is found dead and Roger is the prime suspect, but then we watched different channels as the terrible tragedy in Japan played out, obviously with some concern for Diana's family, but they are on the island of Luzon on the opposite side of where it is thought the wave would strike, but so terrible for the people of Japan, then for us off to bed.
