- leaving bins out before 5pm on the night before collection
- collecting them after 7pm the following day
- using blue bags for rubbish instead of black bins
a spokesman for Liberal Democrat-run Stockport Council said: 'a section 46 notices are served as a last resort, after face-to-face contact and letters have not rectified the situation, in the case of Freemantle Street and Farr Street non-recyclable waste was being placed in blue refuse sacks, as a opposed to the new black wheelie bin, on the wrong collection day, we are reminding residents that details of their collection day as well as a full list of what can be recycled can be found on the back of their personalised recycling calendars or by visiting the council website,' of course I suppose that the spokesman does not consider that the people who pay his salary might also have jobs that are not 9 to 5 and as easy as his, but well, he is doing his best to be a public servant and work for you!
