unfortunately four years ago a fire nearly burnt her out, just thanks to the fact so much of her decking had been removed for restoration so much of her survived the fire, now four years on Prince Phillip - who helped save the Cutty Sark for the nation back in the 1950s - will see today the restoration progress for himself, I hope by the next time we come to the UK we will once again be able to walk her decks.

As A Kid, Teenager And Later As An Adult,
I spent many happy hours above and below decks on the Cutty Sark,
unfortunately four years ago a fire nearly burnt her out, just thanks to the fact so much of her decking had been removed for restoration so much of her survived the fire, now four years on Prince Phillip - who helped save the Cutty Sark for the nation back in the 1950s - will see today the restoration progress for himself, I hope by the next time we come to the UK we will once again be able to walk her decks.
