Sunday And We Decided To Continue Trying The Local Restaurants Along Jomtien Beach Road,

so here we are outside the Oasis,
it is just on the corner of Soi 5 which has the post office and immigration on it,
it looked reasonably priced, English breakfast at 100 baht,
the view across the very busy road, this Tuesday and Wednesday are Buddha days so banks and other businesses will be closed, but a rumour has it that Monday will be a holiday as well, so many people have travelled down from Bangkok for a long weekend,
looking into the rear of the restaurant,
for me a prawn cocktail and soda,
for Diana a small spaghetti bolognese and a water, I must admit I did not pay to much attention to the prices till I received the bill, 500 baht, my cocktail was 180, Diana's spaghetti 270, at these prices we should have gone to Marriott's!
just coincidentally Jay and Precil were having lunch further down the beach so after a phone call they called in on their way home,
so Jay and myself sat upstairs and played cards whilst the girls watched TV downstairs, after they left Mark called in for a hour or so, then time for us to finish the salmon and vegetables left over from yesterday, still as delicious as ever,
after supper Mike called, he and Riza were trying the Gossip Cafe at the back of the Dot Com centre the food there they described as delicious and the servings huge, so they called in later for an hour or so, we had a few games of cribbage and ended up at a two all draw,
when they left we then watched parts two and three of Tremors, a B grade movie but surprisingly entertaining, part four was made in 2004, we have seen it on TV but we do not have the DVD, then off to the land of nod!
