The Ultimate 'Q' Car,

I use the letter 'Q' to describe a wolf in sheep's clothing, in this case the £1,400 Tata Nano, it's claim to fame is not only it's price but the small size of the engine, a two cylinder 624cc, 33-horsepower, pushing the car up to a top speed of 65mph, so easy on the pocket to buy and to run, not so however for its highly breathed on brother, codenamed the DG490, it will go on sale in May for at least £133,000, that's same as a Lamborghini Gallardo, but what do you get for your money? it will be a snub-nosed hatchback with gull wing doors that will do 140mph (225km/h), other modifications include a seven-speed Tiptronic gearbox, a super-light carbon fibre body and cross-drilled ventilated brakes, a completely re-engineered suspension system is being developed to counter the DG490’s extreme power- to-weight ratio, to try to ensure that the hot rod stays on the road, the maker, the Mumbai-based DC Designs, (they have some nice looking cars there), admits that it is a niche product but insists that it will attract buyers, would I buy one? well no for me, I would if I had to spend that amount of money on a car buy the basic version, just to pop down the shops and by a Lambo/Ferrari et al with what was left.
