During The Day,

we watched a couple of films,

firstly Seven Days in May, a chilling and nearly believable plot about a military take over of the American government, of course it could never happen, or could it?

and next a classic, the story of T.E. Lawrence, the English officer who successfully united and led the diverse, often warring, Arab tribes during World War I in order to fight the Turks, the film Lawrence of Arabia, a film that I could never tire of watching,

by now it was late afternoon, so we were out,

to the Thappraya road end of Thepprasit Road for the 10 baht bus ride, and whilst waiting for the bus we looked at the huge television screen at the junction,

  and here we were,

  at the weekend night market,

one of the mobile fruit sellers in one of the aisles,

and here is a second one,

 looking towards Jomtien,

 lots of cloud,

 but slightly clearer looking inland,

I made my way past the toy stall,

near to this one selling shorts,

 opposite the bar tonight,

one stall selling shorts and one selling shoes,

the floor/ceiling now completed above them,

no water in the water feature yet,

I am still not sure why there are two levels, but there it is,

again a guess, perhaps space left for a stairway?

where the durian sellers were a few weeks a go, now a stall selling vouchers for a clinic,

the fruit stall up and running,

 and the wicker stall,

with another colourful outfit similar to some that were for sale few weeks ago,

this is such a nice stall to walk past, the perfume aroma from the goods they sell fills the air,

 the pet section,

 with a few customers,

 the stairway now fully completed,

a quick look in the aquatic store,

and I noticed these new for this week,

butterfly koi, which area type of ornamental carp, breed for their colour and long flowing fins,

at the rear of the steelworks, the ramp has had a sleeping policeman installed,

 sunset over the market,

I made my way up the hill,

and to the bar where I meet up with Brian,

we chatted the early part of the evening away, then after saying our farewells,

we were back home to the condominium, where it was feet up for our evening meal, like last week a huge rack of honey roasted ribs and a breast of smoke duck, one or four glasses of red, a few from the Columbo box and we were then off to bed.
