Yesterday,

we just about had today planned out, 

as it was Diana's day off, but when we woke, it looked so miserable, windy and grey that we decided to stay in, and have a relaxing day at home, after a late lunch we settled down to a film, 

The Birds, we had not watched it for so long, for its time a real scary dairy movie, Alfred Hitchcock revealed on The Dick Cavett Show (1968) that 3,200 birds were trained for the movie. He said the ravens were the cleverest, and the seagulls were the most vicious, as an aside when audiences left the U.K. premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square, London, they were greeted by the sound of screeching and flapping birds from loudspeakers hidden in the trees to scare them further, as if that was needed! after which we watched a few programmes like,

 Shed & Buried, in which motorcycle fanatic Henry Cole and his friend Sam Lovegrove travel across the UK in search of automotive bargains they can restore in their workshop and sell on for a profit, after our evening meal, it was feet up for the usual Outback Opal Hunters and a couple from the Excellent Deadly 60, followed by for our evenings entertainment a Midsomer Murder, then Diana was off to bed, for myself a Have I Got A Bit More News For You, before I too was off to bed.
