How Strange,

that only yesterday,

we were watching some films about dreamy life in France,

and today Kuriositas.com has a feature about la Venise Verte, or the Green Venice,

 France has several lowlands,

including the huge Marais Poitevin that encompasses 370 square miles, big enough to draw tourists without being crowded,

the history of the area goes back to before the 11th century,

for a fuller description of the area have a look here at the Kuriositas web page that featured the area, the area looks so dreamy, the thought of a Diana, a bottle or two of wine and a picnic hamper meandering along these waterways is just so appealing.
