It Was Up With The Lark,

And Down To The Live Seafood Stalls,
these are located at the end of Walking Street opposite the Bali Hai pier,
although early morning a brisk trade was going on with people waiting to be served, Diana had decided to do a bar-b-q today, yesterday Mr. Tony popped over with some huge spare ribs, and Diana wanted to do some shrimps wrapped in a roll of bacon, 1 basket full = 1 kilogram = 350 baht, as usual one lucky shrimp got a reprieve and was placed in one of our aquariums , the last time we did this he lasted about 3 months, by the way these are fresh water prawns, the males have large blue claws,
we had already stopped by Friendship for the bread and garlic butter, there were also fresh crabs but as there were only going to be a few of us today we did not buy any,
our kilo being wrapped up,
they was also lots of shellfish, cockles, mussells, etc,
Diana wanted to buy a few other bits and pieces from the market, but it was so early it had not set up yet,
"Oh Dear, how sad, never mind!"
now the boring bit, on to the trains, having glued the underlay I am now gluing and pinning the track to it,
nearly done, notice that on the inner curve the track is longer as it has less distance to go,
both inner tracks now finished,
the fuzzy pin in the foreground is left in place so I can make sure that I have not glued the working of the points, it will be clipped off when the track is finished,
a view along the table, next week I will start work on the two outer tracks,
then in the evening Jay and Precil were the first to arrive,
then Mr. Tony,
and Big Jim,
Diana and Precil made a huge effort in preparing the food,
marinated spare ribs, chicken breasts from Jay and Precil, a most delicious potato and egg salad made by Big Jim and Diana 's bacon wrapped prawns, which were a great success, but a word of caution, to hold the bacon on the shrimp whilst it is being cooked a wooden tooth pick is used, this is taken out after the bacon has cooked, unfortunately some times a piece is forgotten so you bite down on a toothpick, sorry about that Mr. Tony!
then it was time to go, Booie called in to pick up Mr. Tony, she did not call in as she is not well, get better soon!
then it was good bye to Big Jim, Jay and Precil, we are not having a Saturday get together for the next two weeks as we will not be here on Saturdays, so please put in your dairies next Saturday's get together will be on Saturday the 26th, hope to see you all then,
after everyone left we settled down to watch another episode of The Tudors, forces against Cardinal Wolsey are starting to plot against him, for the first time he knows he is venerable, great stuff! then off to bed.
