Roars Of Laughter And Cries Of Shame!,

when my computer's G drive failed two weeks ago and C drive failed last week, so no back up and a loss of all of my email address, so if you have my email address please send me a quick Hi! and I can put you back in my address book, also I have lost all emails from last Sunday to this Saturday, so if you have sent me one in that period please resend it, as an a side the replacement C drive (350GB) and a new external, (above) reinstalling all that they could from the two failed drives and two home visits was 7,400 baht, I do not know if you think that is good or bad, but if you are interested the company is Wattana Computers in Central Road, just opposite Foodland, so on to the pictures, this is going to be a long post as I am going to roll the week into one post, starting with last Sunday we again went to the 99 baht Sunday roast,

the restaurant is half way along the road that goes from Second to Bukoaw,

first a couple of beers in the bar opposite, then Mass and Diana pose outside, notice a different menu for everyday of the week,

myself and Diana,

Mick and Mass, the chairs are for waiting for a table inside to become free, it is that busy!

look out for the sign for The New Orn bar, the restaurant is opposite,

salad to start, then the main course, two if you are still hungry, all for 99 baht, wine by the glass 70 baht,

and Mick,

Diana and Mass, both as happy as ever,

the next day Jay and Mick called in for a chat and a few cups of tea,

Diana, also Anchisa called in along with Precil and Mass,

later the soup stalls for the evening meal,

Diana also bought some jelly like desert,

this stall seemed to have everything in the desert department,

some of these I have never seen before, heaven knows what they are!

15 or 20 baht a bag full,

so much choice,

then a cooked chicken for tomorrow,

60 or 70 for a half or 120/140 for a whole one, the price I guess is for a size difference or maybe different herbs that are used,

some sweet corn for desert for me,

next morning Anchisa called round for a chat with Diana,

meanwhile I went out looking for a hotel for Steve and his wife Kai who are coming over in the New Year, above is the Camelot on Second Road, and a page from their broucher,

ready for a night out, Diana all set to hit the town,

we went to Cherry's on Third Road, complimentary spring roll, and salad from the well stocked salad bar,

it was not so crowded tonight, from memory it was Tuesday which has a menu of about 12 dishes including the salad, main course, desert and coffee comes to 295 baht each, in our opinion very good value for money,

Diana's main course was steak and vegetables,

for me baked salmon,

Diana was still a little hungry so a extra portion of baked salmon for her,

"Cheers!" from me,

then desert,

banana split, just what the doctor ordered!

the next evening we were out again,

Diana in one of her new dresses,

food as usual in the Beir Kitchen, Walking Street,

Cosy's a go-go is now open so we decided to have a look in on the way back from Sisterz,

Baccara is rumoured to open soon, there is another one in Bangkok, I hope this one is not as expensive as the one in Bangkok,

greetings from one of the door girls at Sisterz,

we had a pleasent early evening with Tom, Ken, Paul, Big Jim, Jay and Precil at Sisterz, on the way back to Cosy's we stopped to look at the street magician,

he was much to our surprise really good, if you see him do stop to watch, it was amazing!

another slight ditraction on our way was a film crew, it is surprising how many film crews work here, I do not know who the actors are but they had mountains of equipement with them,

huge lights were walked with them as they made their way along the street,

and off into the distance,

also newly opened on Walking Street, Fat Joe's,

then into Cosy's, not really our sort of place, the music for me was way to loud, plus at 95 baht for a soda a bit to expensive, so then on to Champions, unfortunatly Juu was not there, he was ill, but the DJ took good care of us, also we bumped into Peter from the UK and his girlfriend, they are out here for a few weeks, we left for home about mindnight,

but not before calling into the bug stall,

scorpions,

grass hoppers,

eels,

frogs,

Cicada?

crickets,

and larve of some kind, then home to sleep,

next day time to drop off some of Diana's clothes that needed to be altered,

and my trousers to be dry cleaned,

then to Tesco Lotus to pick up some Christmas cards, but there were none there yet, but we did see this booth selling aquariums that double up as a coffee table or in the far distance a stand for a TV,

and vivariums compleate with 'smoke' effect,

at first you may think the aquarium is on wheels so you can slide it out for cleaning, (you can lift the top off to do that), the slide is so you can sit in a chair then put your feet in it to be massaged and be nibbled by the fish! I did a blog about this some 4 or 5 months ago in the 'Do Not Mess With Fish' lable,

off course even though we did not buy anything we had to have a Swensons,

next day pick up the dresses,

off to Prechai, Jay, Precil, Mick, Diana and Mass, me behind the camera!

parrot fish,

swimming crabs,

mango crabs (very nice curried),

blah kapong, (spelt as it sounds),

prawns, we shall see some of these later, steamed,

King lobsters, a touch expensive at 2,800 baht a kilo,

rock or slipper lobsters,

first of many courses prawn fried rice with steamed mussels,

steamed prawns that we saw earlier,

another beautiful sunset at Ban Ampour,

it was so nice I took it twice!

we then decided to have a night cap at the Sea Falcon,

it is a nice place right on the beach,

we have stopped here for cocktails many times before,

just a capful for me,

Precil had a mai-tai,

it was an empty bottle, no really, and I did not drink two pina coladas, it was a set up I tell you! a great evening was had by all and then home to bed.
