Another Totally Lazy Day For Us,

just feet up and relax, except,

my personal and company tax returns arrived in an email, so it was a great read through the forms, but here is the good news, a really nice guy, Robert in the UK fills most all of every thing in for me, I just have to approve the company accounts send it all back and hopefully all will be well, please! so we stayed in and watched a few DVDs, first was Traffic staring of course Jacques Tati, writer, director and star as Monsieur Hulot, who in the film is a car designer and has to deliver the concept car to the Rai Center, (I went to the center for a large oil and gas exploration show many years ago with Duncan, the center was huge), naturally the truck transporting the car has a nervous breakdown on the way!

next also from France, Microcosmos, a documentary of insect life in meadows and ponds, using incredible close-ups, slow motion, and time-lapse photography, but with little or no voice overs, just the sounds of the insects added in a sound studio, the film was a mammoth undertaking, it took two years to make the special equipment to film the close ups, three years in filming, but worth every minuet of it,

the third in the X-Men quadiology The Last Stand, as the previous DVDs in this series, superb special effects, when humans discovered what causes humans to mutate, they have found a cure for the mutation, the X-Men were appalled at this idea, it was not long at all until the news about the cure came to Magneto, he decides to organize an army of mutants and wage his war against the humans, then the war begins,

if I thought the special effects in the previous film were good the ones in this film, Skyline, were even better! a bit lame on the plot, in so far as you or I would say 'do not do that', then the cast does exactly that but a treat for special effects fans to be sure, then for us as it was late we were off to bed.
