We Had A Quiet Day,

I had downloaded a number of programmes from the UK, legally of course, the programmes are deleted automatically after 30 days, so there are no copyright problems, the main ones we have watched so far have been Bargain Hunt and Antiques Roadshow, great fun for both of us to guess how much some of the items go for, in the evening we were off to celebrate an anniversary, at Cherry's, it was the restaurants fifth anniversary, luckily we had booked a table last time we were here, which was just as well as later in the evening the restaurant became completely full with dinners,

we started at the salad bar,

the small plate in the picture was a complementary starter,

followed by the starters themselves, smoked salmon, chicken pate, parma ham and melon, plus a few more,

a cheese soup with a piece of grilled cheese on top was next,

followed by a lobster dish, naturally we had a good break between courses,

before the main course a lemon sorbet,

then the main course, steak on mashed potatoes served with white and green asparagus, 'Cheers!',

dessert consisted of ice cream, cake and strawberry jam with cream, to round off the evening some fresh fruit, with a couple of coffees, a great meal from Cherry's but then we have never had anything but nice meals at reasonable prices there, next home feet up to watch a Bargain Hunt or two then as it was late for us off to bed.
