Health And Safety Rules Strike Again,

as parents were turned away from a local sports centre,

I can hardly believe this happened, but they turned up to see their eight-year-old children playing a round-robin junior football contest organised by the local authority and Everton FC, but enter a Knowsley Council spokesman, who said: 'the safety of pupils is paramount and Huyton Arts and Sports Centre For Learning doesn't allow anyone unaccompanied into the centre', naturally the jobsworth enforced the rules by turning away all but one of the parents that arrived at the sports centre to watch their kids play,

on its website the secondary school says it as "an integral part of the community" and wants to "build strong partnerships with parents", pity the school does not put its words into practise and clear permission for parents to attend school sports meetings!
