First Thing,

the bug company called around,

I am really impressed with how reliable they are,

telephoning first the day before to make sure you are in and arriving on time,

the procedure is in two parts, firstly a small pump on the back of the truck is started, the outside perimeters are then sprayed,

whilst this hand pressurised device is used for inside the house,

after the bug-men left I was out to the Sumkivit Road, it is now the rainy season and the seat covers on the motorbikes had split, so water was wetting our clothes when we were on the bikes, so off to the upholstery shop,

this is the corner where it is situated, just past the showroom that has all of those nice cars in it,

the view looking towards Bangkok,

and towards Pattaya Tai,

on the corner there is a shop that sells chicken feed and fighting chickens,

this one is I am told a champion,

it also appears that one of the chicks now thinks the owner has to be followed,

 firstly across the upholstery shop,

 then turning around,

to the top of the steps,

then with a little bit of encouragement down the steps,

and on to the owners shoe,

the chickens seem to know their limits,

as far as the pavement then back inside,

meanwhile work had started on recovering the seats,

I should have brought some bread with me,

one of the chicks gets left behind,

the cockerels are normally kept in these upside down baskets,

with the all of the hens and chicks outside with just one cockerel free to roam,

not that roaming free is without it's dangers,

but the cat has a change of mind,

work continues on the seat covers,

 a second helper pitches in,

I sat on some car seats at the front of the shop and watched the world drive by,

things are starting to take shape,

a little stretch of the cover,

and it is nearly done as staples are applied to keep it in place,

one of the many mobile stores that drive past,

and the first one is completed and fitted,

the second soon to follow, the price for renewing the covers was 300 baht each,

on the way home I noticed that the front brake was not working well, so a stop off at a bike shop to fix it,

this is a one man band and I have to say a very clean and tidy set up,

and this was the reason for the brake maladies, no brake fluid in the master cylinder and the whole reservoir filled with these brown crystals,

so a complete clean up was needed, whilst that was going on I took a couple of pictures of the local equivalent of a dove,

meanwhile work continued, after all was completed and the brake fluid topped up the bill was 260 baht,

then after chatting to Diana on the telephone she meet me at the shop and we made a move to the Punch and Judy for a bite to eat, Diana decided on a cranberry juice with chicken fried rice,

arriving home with the other seat on the carrier,

it took just a few moments to fit it, why white seats a few people have asked, I like white seats for three reasons, firstly in a packed motorbike park, ours with white seats stick out like a sore thumb, so we can find it with no trouble at all, secondly, when we park in full sunlight the seats do not get hot, if you have ever sat on a black plastic seat after parking for a few hours in the sun you will know how hot a seat can be, thirdly any prospective tea leaf will always go for a black seated bike because the white seat is from his point of view something that makes it harder to sell on, well that's my excuse anyway,
in the afternoon Mark called round, after he left we watched some more of Ade in Britain then rounded off the evening with one from Poirot, this on titled Five Little Pigs, a young woman comes to Poirot for help, He recognises her name, for her mother was tried and executed for murdering her father, a famous painter, now, fourteen years later, Poirot must interview the five witnesses present at the time and find out whether the mother was really guilty, great story with an ending that I sort of guessed in the last 5 minuets of the program, then for us we were off to bed.
