Out Early To Pick Up Nick And Maureen,

to go fishing,

Nick had already set up his fishing tackle as I was mixing the bait, he started fishing as I was tackling up, before I had even made my first cast he had his first fish, 1 - 0 to him,

which sort of set the scene for the rest of the day,

 he was unstoppable,

 at one time I was trailing 9 - 2,

as the first couple of fish he caught were smaller than some of the later ones,

we put the smaller ones back and kept the larger ones, we were going to take two home,

and here is one he caught earlier, fried in garlic with a sweet spicy sauce,

which immediately brought the lakes cats over to our table,

'food please, just a head or a tail will do',

 'Please!',

 two,

 fat cats,

 it was overcast today,

which was nice as it is so hot in full sun at this time of the year,

again we were at fishing hut number 2 which was next to the lotus plants the last time we were here, but on this visit they had all been removed,

a happy Nick and Maureen, Nick still well in the lead in the fishing stakes,

and as always a happy and smiling Diana,

unlike our last few visits the dragonflies were back,

so I had to zoom in and take a close up picture of one,

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, once in the Soi go over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is in on the right hand side, almost opposite the big pink building on the left, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer! back to the fishing, the final score 14 - 12 to Nick, he was the champion again,

we then drove to Nick and Maureen's,

where Nick had prepared a chicken curry and nice it was too, we followed the meal with ice cream, cheese, biscuits and beetroot,

on to the serious part of the evening, Monopoly! another victory for Nick as he won again, so today Nick won the double, both fishing and the board game, I must try harder! we thanked Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well and also wished them bon voyage for later next week they are going back to good old Blighty for a holiday, we then made a move for home, next feet up, a couple of shows from TMN and we were off to bed.
