but first some good news,
yesterday we went to FedEx to post a letter to Diana's parents, this morning we had a call to say it arrived, that is from here in Pattaya to Diana's home 2 hours outside of Manila in well less than 24 hours! well done FedEx, on to today we had another letter to post by snail mail, so off to Soi Post office we went,
the post office in, yes you guessed it, Soi Post office,
looking towards Second Road,
it appears this is the street to go to if you want a massage,
letter posted we drove along to Walking Street and parked the motorbike,
we were going to have breakfast in town, so we walked past the shrine at the beginning of the street, along the first of the restaurants over the bay,
it was low tide,
and this is where we were going, the Pattaya Beer Garden,
looking along the bay from the restaurant,
we both decided on a ice coffee,
it was so hot,
Diana decided on a pizza,
for myself a prawn cocktail,
next stop, the small soi opposite the rear of Wat Chai market,
we walked across Soi 17 and into the market to buy some prawns for our Saturday night bar-b-bq,
whilst there I took a few pictures of some of the stalls,
unlike our local market where tents or awnings are erected every day,
this market is permanent,
with all manner of produce for sale,
and as you might expect,
a much larger selection of produce like these gold coloured
Pla Tabtim,
as well as the normally colored Pla Nin, both of which are tilapias,
no sooner home than out again to the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road,
looking towards Jomtien,
and looking inland,
with lots of characters looking at me,
opposite the bar this evening a stall selling T shirts,
no more work had been done on the structure since our last visit, some of it still unpainted,
plenty of fresh fruit,
the slushy stall owner waiting for her first customer of the evening,
the pet section very quiet,
sunset over the market,
I made my way back towards the road,
and settled at the bar,
as some of the mobile food sellers drove past,
Sa and her niece Nit called by to say hello to Brian and myself,
'Cheers!', we said goodbye and made a move,
to the Punch and Judy, it is located between
Pattaya 3rd Road and Thepprasit Soi 8, almost opposite the Eden Hotel,
where we were joined by Mr. Tony, we shared a chicken liver pate for a starter,
followed by our main courses,
cottage pie for Mr. Tony,
gammon steak for Diana,
and a stout and beef pie for myself, Mr. Tony drove us home where it was feet up for some Judge Judy, after saying our farewells a few from the Antiques Roadshow and we were off to bed.
